| At the start of Pole position’s year I had
decided not to take any notes cos a) I have to be the GM’s Little
Helper and b) as I’m the Saturday Hash scribe, I just couldn’t be
arsed! But after listening to King Klong’s brilliant Know Your Hasher
spot, I thought the Pooying Hash deserves to maintain its rich history
as we do for the main Saturday Hash. So, for the rest of our year,
notes, albeit brief ones, will be produced. After Pole Position called us for our excellent food cooked up by Woodpecker and the EXPAT HOTEL Team, I could see everyone had enjoyed their food and was now ready to throw abuse at each other, so the circle was open. Our Hares, JC and Dr Fucking Jekyll came in for their well deserved beers. Everyone was in accord that even though JC had led them through a flooded road, waist deep, the Run was very enjoyable. JC was called back in to take further applause for reaching the heady total of 100 Hares on the Saturday Hash. JC take another bow for your great service from your fellow Hashers! We had four Virgin Pooyingers. Hashers- Fungus and Dogs Breath. Welcome and please come again. Also, on their very first Hash, Malcolm and Marie Claire came from Sydney. Malcolm is an old friend of mine of some 40 years so I told the Hash of our reunion of 20 years. When he first walked in with RED hair( I, of course, let myself down in a posh Sydney cocktail bar! ) We had a good number of Hashers telling after Run stories, which was kicked off by Twice Nightly getting Once Weekly in and told us about when OW went out on the Piss with Fungus and came home with the milkman in the light. OW had a fight with his toilet seat in his bathroom and managed to cut his head with TN putting him to bed … what a waste! Lesser Dipshit and BC entertained us with a few stories each. Thanks for showing us your talent, which would not be lost in the X Factor! Barbie Doll came in and gave us a little Irish song and followed up with a graphic tale about a drunken Noddy … Irish humour at its best. Blue Harlot was invited in for his Steward spot( which I had forgot to call for last month, so his jokes were at least a month old) BH hit his usual heights with his stories and kept us all giggling. I promise to take notes next month NEW NAME for Pranee (2352) was waiting for her when the one and only BC called her in. He pulled her to ribbons before explaining that her hair looked a lot like a Thai fruit that grows just about everywhere … so from now on she will be known by. RAMBUTAN HEAD. KNOW YOUR HASHER was introduced last month by me and Pole Position but it really starts now with one of the most senior Hashers coming in to tell us his long history in the Hash. KING KLONG told us he had first come to Phuket in 1982 and then coming back to buy a bar in 1984. Sir Bollox had introduced him to Hashing cos he needed to keep fit. KK got his name when he managed to avoid a pile of tarmac in the middle of the road when driving home late one night, a little worse for wear but in doing so drove head first into a Klong at the side of the road. Lucky for us KK got out just in time but this incident is remembered forever through his name KING KLONG! KK went on to tell us how WOODPECKER got her name. KK was living next to Sir Bollox and when W stayed over KK was just a happy camper and was always singing in his bathroom. With the window open and next to Sir B’s open window all Sir B could hear was this bloody woodpecker song and so there was no choice … WOODPECKER was born! . This is only an overview of KK’s great spot but all of us really enjoyed part of OUR history. Thank you KK. Twice Nightly and Once Weekly had already picked out the Lucky Dip Story which I told. James Bond or Man from Uncle … a tale about my time in East Germany in 1973.
